Entitled \u201cPlan des possessions des C\u00e9lestins de Sens \u00e0 Villeneuve\u201d, it dates from the 18th century.<\/p>\n

In 2022, it was discovered in a private residence and, due to its advanced state of deterioration, was entrusted to the Departmental Archives of Yonne for secure preservation pending restoration.<\/p>\n

Methods and processes compliant with the specifications set forth by the Archives of France and tailored to the condition of the document were implemented, including meticulous cleaning, varnish removal, and consolidation of tears with appropriate Japanese paper, to ensure the long-term preservation of this cultural heritage.[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.21.0″ _module_preset=”1377b5d3-4003-401b-aa99-1d603e1ad682″ header_3_font=”Cormorant Garamond||||||||” header_3_font_size=”45px” custom_margin=”50px||25px||false|false” hover_enabled=”0″ header_3_font_size_tablet=”38px” header_3_font_size_phone=”32px” header_3_font_size_last_edited=”on|phone” locked=”off” global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n

A Degraded Condition of the Historical Document<\/h3>\n

[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.21.0″ _module_preset=”1377b5d3-4003-401b-aa99-1d603e1ad682″ custom_margin=”||25px||false|false” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″]This watercolor plan on laid paper, featuring black ink outlines and colored pigments, was handed over to La Reliure du Limousin for a comprehensive restoration of the document<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During the analysis phase, numerous alterations were identified: dust, lacunas, tears, creases, and various stains. In general, the map was discolored and its varnish was cloudy. The Steps of a Comprehensive Restoration Process<\/h3>\n

An Unusual Format<\/h3>\n
